Support
Something broken, something unclear, or an idea for the next book? This page is the short version; if it does not answer your question, write to us and a person will read it.
Contact
Email is the only support channel, and it goes straight to the developer. Expect a reply within a few days — sooner if the game is crashing.
If you are reporting a problem, it helps enormously to include: your device and its OS version, whether you are on iOS or Android, what you were doing when it happened, and a screenshot if there is anything to see.
Common questions
The game crashed, or a run got stuck
Force-quit the app and open it again — your run is saved as you go, so you should land back roughly where you were.
If it happens again, please write to us and describe the room you were in. Crash reports are sent automatically unless you switched them off, but they cannot tell us what you were trying to do.
I bought Acts II–V but they are still locked
Open Options → Purchases and tap “Restore”. That asks the store again and unlocks the acts if a purchase is on file.
If nothing is found, you are probably signed into a different store account than the one that paid — check which Apple ID or Google account the device is using, switch to the one you bought with, and restore again. Purchases belong to the store account, not to your in-game sign-in.
Is it a subscription? What does the purchase include?
It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and there is nothing else to buy — no ads, no currency, no loot boxes.
Act I is free to finish. The single purchase unlocks Acts II–V: the rest of the Arc and every Depth in it. It stays unlocked on every device that uses the same store account.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by the store that took the payment, not by us — we never see your payment details and cannot issue one.
On iOS, use Apple’s “Report a Problem” page (reportaproblem.apple.com) with the Apple ID that bought the game. On Android, open the Google Play order history and request a refund there. If the reason is a bug, do write to us as well so it gets fixed.
I lost my progress after reinstalling
Progress is stored on the device, so deleting the app deletes it — unless you were signed in, in which case there is a cloud save to pull back.
Open Options → Cloud save and sign in with the same Apple or Google account as before. If the fresh install and the cloud disagree, the game asks which one to keep — choose “Restore cloud save”. If you never signed in, the progress is gone and we cannot recover it; we never had a copy.
How do I move my game to a new phone?
Sign in on the old device (Options → Cloud save), let it sync, then sign in with the same account on the new one. Your progress, trophies and Chronicle come with you.
There is one save per account. If both devices have played, the game shows a save conflict and lets you pick which side to keep — so sync the old device before you get far on the new one.
Sign-in is failing
Check that the device is online, then try again — most failures are a dropped connection mid-handshake.
Beyond that: make sure you are picking the same provider as last time. An Apple account and a Google account with the same email address are two separate accounts to us, each with its own save. If it still will not sign in, write to us with the provider you used and roughly when you tried.
Can I change my leaderboard name?
Yes — Options → Leaderboard name, then “Change name”. It can be changed once a month, and the number appended to it keeps it unique and stays as it is.
Please do not use your real name: leaderboard names are public to other players. Offensive names can be reported from the leaderboard entry itself, and we remove them.
How do I switch the language?
On the title screen, or in Options. The game speaks English and German; “Automatic” follows your device language. Story text, names and the interface all switch — a run in progress survives it.
How do I turn analytics or crash reports off?
Options → Privacy. Analytics is off until you allow it; crash reports are on by default, because a crash we cannot see is a crash we cannot fix. Both switches take effect immediately and work independently of each other.
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
No account, no. The story plays offline; signing in only adds cloud saves and the leaderboard, and you can ignore both.
A connection is needed to buy or restore Acts II–V, and for the leaderboard — nothing else.
How do I delete my account?
Options → Cloud save → Delete account, or ask us by email. It is permanent, and it removes your cloud save and your leaderboard entry along with the account. The dedicated page below spells out exactly what goes and what stays.
I found a bug, or I have an idea
Both are welcome, at the address above. Bugs get fixed fastest with a description of what happened and which device you are on, and requests do get read — Arc 1 is finished, but the game keeps growing.
